Our Pickwick Quilting Bee

Last night was a night of great contentment and serenity. We have been studying the virtues of "love" and "compassion". One of the things we try express in our lesson, is the importance of "exercising" the virtue. Surely, the more the virtue is exercised... the stronger it will get.
We have been blessed to have a very special family in our Bread of Life homeschool group. They have been so generous in providing the children with some wonderful experiences. We thought it would be nice to make them a quilt to show our Love and gratitude for all that they do.
BOL members contributed the personalized squares, and the Pickwicks took the opportunity to Quilt the squares together. We were able to finish a great majority of the quilt last night. And though many of the girls were unable to make it, It was a wonderfully powerful blessing to see the few girls that did with their hearts at work.
We are so blessed to be surrounded by such beautiful families, and I am overjoyed to see the "old fashioned quilting bee" give us the time to foster our girl's virtues and skills. There is never a more precious moment than the moment when mother and daughter work side by side in joy.
